Welcome to The Lighthouse Center!

The Lighthouse Center is a christian community outreach center and is located at 604 S. Iowa Ave, Washington Iowa. The heart of this ministry is to develop community outreach in Washington Iowa, with the help of all the churches, working together to share the gospel message that Jesus Christ is Lord.

We will achieve this goal of sharing the gospel, by meeting the needs of the community. We offer food, clothing, counseling, furniture, and emergency housing. 

The emergency housing is available to people connected to Washington County and immediate area in need for up to 45 days unless waiting to go into a transitional living program. Clients are welcome to come in at 4pm, Dinner is at 6pm. Doors are locked at 8pm and Clients have to leave for the day by 8am. Clients are encouraged during the day to go to their job, go look for work, or they can also come volunteer at the Master's Hand Thrift Store.
